RED + BLUE = PURPLE.

PURPLE + AMETHYST = VIOLET

( sacred ) - (spiritual ) = (Divinely Mystical)

Although some formulations for this example terms blue as the emotional aspect combining with physical red which renders purple spiritual, I prefer the above formula. My reason; blue is much more mental than emotional (it acts on lower thought ‘think before you leap’) and amethysts, far more spiritual than mental. Although both the 6^th and the 7^th chakras respond to Amethyst, the greater part of its ‘attention’ is within the 7^th chakra. Purple then reacts more to the 6^th chakra "The birth of the soul" and violet more to the 7^th chakra "I am Whole"

This colour is within the Purple Sphere, just much more mystical and electrical – tapping into dimensions beyond the Purple ‘limitations’, along the lines of an ascended Purple or an ionised Purple.

This colour is best supplemented with the Golden Ray of Wisdom and Knowledge. It’s the least visible of the visible spectrum, thus is also the colour of spiritual growth, philosophy, and royalty – being used in most religious and ceremonial events…bringing a sense of Higher Wisdom combined with richness and opulence. The paler the shade, the more open, and the darker the shade, the more intense.

It’s element, transformation – its quality, inspiration – its desire, I want to be lazy – its sense, Divine knowing – its language, shy and timid – its personality, introvert’ ish’ – its heavenly bodies, Juniper and Neptune – its jewel, Amethyst – its oils, Violet and Frankincense – its taste, very palatable, its touch, warm and cold – its smell, light – its weight, appears hazy.

PHYSICALLY VIOLET – works on the Lymphatic system with a purifying action, clearing internal ulcers, restores mental equilibrium within the brain and nerves, therefore excellent to use in the treating addictions, schizophrenia, lowers BP, effects the motor neurones, suppresses appetite, treats head-ache, neuralgia (decongest and analgesic), rheumatism (anti-inflammatory), sciatica, skin/scalp disorders (clears eruptions), diarrhea, insomnia, tumours, eye troubles (soothing), concussion (calming), internal inflammation (cooling), cramps, epilepsy, and it has a purifying action on the blood-stream.

VIOLET CONTRA-INDICATIONS – take care when flooding or over-dosing this colour for the "mentally under-developers". Its fantastic effects can have a mystical turn-about.

Forming a Halo, it is situated at the crown of the head and is the ‘door way’ to The Creator, where consciousness enters and leaves the body. This energy centre consists of a multitude of colours vibrating at such a speed that they reflect the colour Violet as they receive and distribute Prana. It is here where the Silver Cord detaches to bring unity to body and soul. In the awakened it brings the gift of Divine Wisdom and being TOTALLY free from ALL negativity. This centre brings forth the flowers of the roots planted in the Root chakra (they correspond). It is here where one steps completely into the zone of blind faith, which allows one self, to be introduced to the person within, and to embrace the life plan which is located within the 8^th Chakra. Its animal- enlightened human being, its element- Cosmic Energy, its plane-Spiritual, its planet-Saturn, its symbol-fully Opened Lotus, its oils- Frankincense, Myrrh, Sandalwood, Marjoram and its stones – Amethyst, Moon-stone, Opal, and Sugilite.

PSYCHOLOGICALLY VIOLET – stimulates the higher self of the inner most, bringing about feelings of "feeling good’ – hence it improves the general well-being through its aspirations to purify. This action activates creativity, humility, and unconditional self-sacrifice, and has a sedating effect on the nerves – hence it is very good for the mentally challenged, especially combined with its complimentary (Yellow), and other colours. It’s very effective for the treatment of depression, the agitated, frustrated, insecure, and neurotics. It restores mental equilibrium and urges one to enter soul-consciousness… with sensitivity. This being the colour of spiritual mastery and growth, claims the phrase ‘Letting Go’. On normal exposure to children it produced feelings of happiness, and on forced prolonged exposure it progressed into sneakiness, getting crazy or ‘mad’ - bordering on outburst.

METAPHYSICALLY VIOLET – is favourably used in Electrochemistry because it has the highest vibration, and spiritually it has a magnetic positive vibration opposed to physical attraction. This colour is ruled by The Spirit Of Sacrifice, and it demands peace. It represents the Power of God. On a meditative level it allows higher spiritual concentration, thus excellent for meditation. The Pineal Gland being a Light Receptor (The White Light)-- it is believed to be responsible for ovulation, in response to the energy from the moon. Even though Violet is at the opposite end of Red, it carries the same power, not in a physical way as with Red, but rather in a Mystically Opulent way, yet it is just as decadent !!

THE 7^th RAY – Ceremonial Magic And Order VIOLET

It is the Ray of the Aquarian Age, and brings with it the good tidings of being organized, healthy relationships, balance within, a unified Divinity, interest in ceremonial magic, and also communion of differences in areas such as religion, politics, arts, economics, sociology and urban co-operation. This Ray is the unified peace keeper which allows all to be as one – in one. This is the Ray of unity within the spiritual as well as the material worlds. It is here where the boundaries disappear and only the good within shines through. It is the doorway to the laws of manifestation, which can only be experienced in sacredness, since it fosters the quality of Wisdom and Divine Knowing.

The Mineral Kingdom is on this Ray, with its organization of Crystalline forms, beautiful lines, colours, radiance and geometrical perfection – a concept that has been adopted symbolically in architecture and is also evident within Cathedrals all round the world. The Grand Geometrician vibrates through this Ray to envelope All (The Holy Spirit and Trinity). This also includes Babaji, the Pope, soul workers, artists, powerfully inspired leaders, musicians, writers, designers, royalty, and architects.

DÉCOR AND VIOLET – The darker, or deeper the shade, the more dramatic the effect. This colour is brilliant for setting a ‘permanent’ evening tone, especially when combined with loads of Gold, Orange, Deep Yellow’s, and contrasting hues of Blue and Indigo. It’s an excellent colour for creating a meditation corner since it awakens the trust within thus allows a smoother phase of transcendence, here mix with some real rich shades of Green. Very good choice for children’s play rooms as it unleashes creativity - like mist for the soul. Excellent for the hyper-active child, and parent alike – it supports communication while it calms and re-assures. It soothes, and flares simultaneously. It is a very good colour to introduce when the energy of royalty, opulence and richness is needed.

WEARING VIOLET – As it calms, soothes, inspires communications and denotes respect, it is a very good all round colour to wear. In times gone by we associated the paler shades with ‘Lilac Old Ladies’, but that was only until we really connected with it in a "Aquarian Age’ way…and out came the tassels!!. This colour has been the talk of town in the fashion circles since Amethyst came out of the closet a few years ago ! – now its ‘unisex’. For the drab, timid and boring – do add some of this colour to your wardrobe… and watch you unfold. Don’t kill it though…this colour loves being with other colours, especially its complimentary Yellows, but then, in small doses -- (that is the complimentary naturally since Violet dictates!!).

Too much of this colour is just another escape – Be Aware…. Red and Blue pigments forms the basis of this colour thus renders it neither hot nor cold, so it can be worn next to the skin without any adverse affects. Good to wear when you are going to attend a function where you know you wont be able to contain your palate ..(it numbs the appetite). On emotional occasions it works wonders for you to keep your power…good for divorce hearings. It brings the wearer in touch with personal spiritual essence, and increases creativity, VIA heightened sensitivity.
