Some cultures tell their myths and legends through dance, without using words. Generally, myths are stories about gods, goddesses, and other superhuman beings, and legends deal with people who perform heroic feats. Myths and legends pass on beliefs from one generation to another, and help people to understand their roots.

Native American Mythology

Many Native American myths could equally be called folktales: they seem to be about ordinary people, not gods. However, the Native American attitude is that everything is animated by divinity. Hence ordinary people, animals and places are divine.

Norse Mythology

Norse mythology, Scandinavian mythology, Viking mythology; all refer to the pre-Christian religion of the Norwegian, Swedish, Icelandic, and Danish peoples. Roman Mythology

Roman mythology, the mythological beliefs of the people of Ancient Rome, can be considered as having two parts.
