Biography of Stuart Wilson
Raised in a family where health issues dominated Stuart has always had an interest in health. Since 1997 Stuart lectured in Nutrition at the SA College of Complementary Therapies and has been lecturing at a number of colleges ever since. He currently runs e learning courses in Wellness and Nutrition. One of the highlights of his career has been the development of the NutriNeeds web-based programme, which assesses an individual’s nutritional status and recommends appropriate supplements for their specific symptom profile. This has taken the guesswork out of recommending supplements. And more recently, as an extension to the NutriNeeds Assessment Programme, he developed the Wellness Status Test, a software package which enables therapists to identify areas of imbalance, and provides appropriate nutritional and lifestyle programmes.

Mental Problems, Stress, Nerves and Depression

All mental problems are physical problems. Our brains are made up of cells that determine whether or not our minds work well. If they do, we are considered intelligent, if not we are stupid. Our brain cells also determine our emotions. Sometimes we are pleasant, sometimes we are vicious and aggressive.

Could Candinda be the culprit for a myriad of health problems?

Candida growth is usually kept under control by the immune system and the “good bugs” in the large intestine. When not controlled effectively, resulting infestation leads to a condition known as candidiasis – an overgrowth of Candida Albicans, impossible for a normal immune system to eradicate. It can produce a sufficient quantity of toxins to chronically poison the host individual.

Weight Control and Detox through Nutrition

There are many factors that contribute to weight problems. Most people think it is only overeating that is the problem.

Menopause

Menopause is a natural stage in a woman's life. It is not an illness that requires drug treatment. By following a healthy lifestyle you can eliminate many of the symptoms and avoid Hormone Replacement Therapy. 5 Powerful Reason to Eat More Slowly

The festive period also comes with a flurry of activities that many people rush through the day, with no time for anything. When they have time to get a bite to eat, they gobble it down. This habit of eating fast has serious debilitating effects on our general health. It leads to a stressful and unhealthy lifestyle. Eating should be a slow and pleasurable experience if we are to derive maximum benefit from the food we eat.

Food Allergies vs. Food Intolerances

Food Allergy A food allergy is an immune system response. It occurs when the body mistakes an ingredient in food -- usually a protein -- as harmful and creates a defense system (antibodies) to fight it. Allergy symptoms develop when the antibodies are battling the "invading" food.

Your Immune System

Modern conventional medicine battles disease by means of drugs, surgery, radiation and other therapies, but true health can be obtained only by maintaining a healthy, properly functioning immune system.

Nutritional Support For Stress

GOOD STRESS-BAD STRESS Stress can be a crippling experience but when correctly managed it can be a very positive tool. The first step to success in any stressful situation is our ability to manage our stress. There are several factors that determine our capacity to manage and benefit from stress.

Candida & Concentration

Over the last two decades it has become clear that a great many common health problems, both physical and mental, might have a common cause – namely, the spread in the body of a yeast that lives in each and every one of us. Its name is Candida Albicans; and we will call it Candida for short.

Alcohol and Your Health

Women tend to be more sensitive to alcohol than men due to their bodies’ lower water content and higher fat content. This results in alcohol becoming more concentrated in the bloodstream and being retained in their bodies for longer.

Reduce cortisol to reduce belly fat.

Cortisol is created in the pituitary gland of the body and helps produce energy, regulate blood sugar and inflammation, and aid the immune system. As a result, when people have high levels of cortisol in the body, they may experience weight gain (especially in the abdomen), advanced aging, stomach ulcers and a weakened immune system.

Children with picky eating habits.

“It has been suggested that if junk foods are banned or kept out of reach, and good wholesome foods are available at all times, then the child will eventually eat them because he is just so hungry. A child should never be forced to eat particular ‘allowed’ foods; he should be allowed to choose from the suitable foods available in the house.

Eat Better to feel Better

Many people are resistant to suggestions about changing their eating habits. There is a general misconception that one has to make dramatic changes to their diet in order to achieve good health. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Nutritional Supplementation is a Minefield for most

For most people, taking nutritional supplements is an absolute minefield. Most people don’t even know what a vitamin is. What is being confirmed over and over again is the fact that our body requires dozens of nutrients to function properly.
