All bodies are wonderfully well equipped to heal themselves. However, prolonged, unresolved stress interferes with the natural healing process. Indeed, the body can only repair itself efficiently when it is in a state of relaxation. Stress control is therefore paramount to promote health and well-being. Kinesiology helps you release the stress that is locked in the cells, thus restoring the body’s innate self-repair abilities.
Kinesiology is a form of natural therapy in which Eastern wisdom combines with Western knowledge to bring you balance at all levels. It recognizes the importance not only of the body, but also of the mind, the emotions and the spirit when it comes to health. It relies on muscle testing to communicate with the body and to identify and correct potential imbalances in the body’s structural, chemical, mental and emotional energy systems, as well as the external factors that may be affecting your health and well-being.
Since it forms part of the energetic model, and not of the medical model, kinesiology does not treat named diseases, but rather looks for and corrects the underlying issues that have led to the ailment (like nutritional or environmental stressors in the case of allergies, for instance).
Kinesiology helps you decode the messages your body is sending you, in the form of various symptoms (headaches, weight gain, chronic pain, low self-esteem, to name but a few), to attract your attention to possible imbalances at physical, emotional, mental and/or spiritual levels. Kinesiology addresses the underlying issues that have caused the imbalance in the first place, as opposed to merely treating the symptoms. I have a particular interest in kinesiology as a tool to enhance sports and learning performances, but please feel free to contact me in connection with other issues.
Kinesiology can benefit your animal companion, who may also, at some point, feel the effects of stress due to a variety of factors. Kinesiology works in very much the same way in animals as it does in humans, gently restoring the body’s self-healing ability and identifying as well as correcting potential stressors in the animal’s environment, with the owner’s input. Among the issues that kinesiology can help solve are nutritional stress, allergies, negative emotional components, pain, the integration of muscle groups, mental and physical coordination and post-surgery recovery, to name but a few. Animal-specific corrections and information are used during a balance, but human corrections may also be relevant.
Kinesiology is a gentle, safe and non-invasive technique. Animals usually appear very relaxed during a session. In cases where pain is involved, I will be very attentive to not cause your pet any discomfort when performing a correction involving physical contact, like the stimulation of neuro-lymphatic points. The detailed history I take at the beginning of the first session allows me to know which parts of the animal’s body should be touched with care.
Distance kinesiologyIf you would like yourself or your animal to benefit from a kinesiology balance, but are unable to travel or to arrange for a home session, distance kinesiology is a powerful alternative.
Because kinesiology works with the energy body, the person or dog’s presence is not compulsory. All that is needed is a human surrogate and a photograph or yourself or your animal, and, in the case on an animal kinesiology session, some of the animal’s hair, if at all possible. Hair can indeed be used as an energetic alternative in the context of a distance kinesiology session.
