In my new book, I take you on a deeply personal journey, beginning in the almost post-apartheid era of South Africa. I grew up in a small, seemingly forgettable community that, to my emerging awareness, became a treasure trove of experiences propelling me towards a profound and confrontational quest for God.
My story is set against the backdrop of three formidable women: my great-grandmother, kind and without malice; my grandmother, rebellious, strong, and beautiful; and my mother, self-assured and driven. While their narrative is common, mine takes a unique turn.
At the tender age of six, I experienced something profoundly different from my peers. This awakening, recently revealed to me, echoed through the generations, as if the seed of my quest had been searching for fertile ground long before I was born. My battle was an internal one, a relentless push and pull that still astonishes me. Unbeknownst to me, I was a student awaiting a teacher, someone to tend and mould the sapling of my awareness. And in time, He appeared. Join me in this compelling exploration of faith, identity, and the indomitable human spirit.
My journey is not just a story—it's an invitation to discover the extraordinary within the ordinary.
