Regis Kamaq Wageaq, the current Willak Umu (highest priest) of the Sacred Andean Tradition, related to the lineage of the Incas of the Tawantinsuyo, will be sharing his ancestral knowledge and simple yet profound practices of reconnecting with nature to help us develop and nurture valuable principles, such as acceptance, forgiveness, gratitude, family, including reciprocity and community – in unity.
These principles represent the fibre that is woven through Andean society. It’s an inherent understanding that everything in the world is connected and that giving comes before receiving; that cooperation and reciprocity are integral to fostering balance and congeniality within communities through mutuality.
The past two years of global lockdown has forced humanity to go within and reassess the connection with ourselves and with nature. While modern society had us on a path of unbalanced disconnection, we are now waking up to the realisation of our relationship with Mother Earth (“Pachamama”) and the cosmos. This knowledge was originally kept by the ancient people of the world, who remind us that our reconnection starts at the heart.
Regis Kamaq Wageaq was entrusted with guarding this wisdom and was guided to come to South Africa (the Earth’s ‘’root chakra”) during this time of reconnection. He will present these insights and practices based on the four elements - the basic structures of universal energy – in the series of events in April.
The series of events comprises a free public talk, two four-day retreats including the Level 1 Paqo initiation and the energetic transmission of the Karpay – the seed of the Andean Apprentice. Also, two Level 2 Pampa initiation workshops, a Level 3.2 Llaqta initiation workshop, and a Level 3.3 Suyo initiation workshop.
