Ancient teachers from Peru are speaking again. Andean amawtas (masters) acknowledged the origin of humanity as being in Southern Africa (indeed, the Cradle of Humankind). Human spirituality has evolved around the world up to the present 21st century, an era of instant communication in upon us. Current spiritual leaders are looking to South America as the place where the new humanity will start. The conscious connection to nature (Pachamama) of the Andean people is the key to evolution for future humanity.

The ancient Sacred Andean Tradition was entrusted with guarding the wisdom of our human relationship to Pachamama specially for this present time. Peruvian teacher, Kamaq Wageaq, Willak Umu of the Sacred Andean Tradition was guided to come to South Africa during this time of reconnection. He presents a simple but profound teaching of the four elements, Earth, Water, Air and Fire, the basic structures of universal energy, in a four-day retreat culminating in the Andean energy transmission called Karpay, where we receive the seed of the Paqo (Andean apprentice). Together with the concepts of balance, love, wisdom and service, we continue the journey of deep connection to Pachamama, on this blessed African land.

Until 1804, fewer than one billion people roamed our planet. More than a century later, in 1927, we crossed two billion.

Since then, the world population has shot up in the shape of a hockey stick, boosted by the triumphs of modern medicine and public health.

The latest marker was passed on Tuesday, when the United Nations said the world population had reached eight billion, just 11 years after it passed seven billion.
