My Journey into Kundalini Yoga and Holistic Wellness

My transformative journey into Kundalini Yoga began when I attended a class at the Observatory Circle in Johannesburg with Pritam Khalsa. It was my very first experience of yoga, and from the moment the session began, I felt an overwhelming sense of peace, clarity, and inner connection. It was a truly life-changing experience that opened the door to a deeper understanding of myself.

As I drove home that evening, I was filled with an indescribable feeling of joy, purpose, and inner calm. In that moment, I knew I had discovered the path I had been searching for. Kundalini Yoga offered far more than physical exercise—it awakened a holistic way of living that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit.

Through regular practice, I discovered greater mental clarity, emotional balance, physical wellbeing, spiritual growth, and a deeper awareness of myself. Kundalini Yoga became the foundation for a life of mindfulness, self-discipline, personal transformation, and conscious living. It continues to inspire me to help others experience the same healing, empowerment, and inner peace that first touched my heart on that unforgettable day.

I attended my first yoga teacher training in 2005 with Shakta Kaur Khalsa, Pritham Khalsa and Har Bhajan. With the intense training and discipline I decided to continue to the next level of teacher training with Pritham Khalsa and Har Bhajan. I so keenly developed a deep sense of appreciation and the ability to transform the body to heal itself through awareness and discipline. In learning and being mindful of conscious breathing, not only assisted the body to move energy but also brought total awareness. Discovering yoga will always be an exhilarating experience which I would most gladly pass on to students. It’s absolutely amazing when students share their divine transformation physically, emotionally and spiritually. Yoga generates not only beauty, discipline and awareness; it is also being simple and creates awareness in every facet of our lives.
