The Magic of Conscious Cooking: A Memorable Afternoon with Deborah Posser

I absolutely loved this wonderful experience—a true feast for both the taste buds and the soul.

Having never attended a cooking class before, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Deborah Posser immediately put everyone at ease with her warm personality and infectious enthusiasm. What began as a room full of strangers quickly transformed into a group of friends laughing, sharing stories, and creating delicious food together.

Deborah’s approach to cooking goes far beyond recipes. Her passion for healthy, conscious eating shines through in everything she does, proving that nutritious food can also be indulgent, flavourful, and deeply satisfying. Before we even stepped into the kitchen, she guided us through her thriving vegetable garden, beautifully connecting the journey from soil to plate and inspiring a deeper appreciation for where our food comes from.

The class was filled with practical tips, fascinating culinary insights, and simple techniques that anyone can apply at home. Even seasoned cooks discovered something new. Deborah reminded us that cooking is about more than nourishing our bodies—it’s about nurturing relationships, creating memories, and sharing precious moments with family and friends.

One message particularly resonated with me: while healthy eating matters, flavour should never be sacrificed. Season with intention, cook with love, and make every meal an experience.

The three-hour class flew by, and the highlight was learning to make delicious gluten-free vegetable wraps from scratch using fresh ingredients from Deborah’s own garden. The freshness elevated every bite and reinforced the joy of conscious, seasonal cooking.

Since attending the class, my family and I have become even more intentional about eating together, turning mealtimes into moments of connection rather than rushed necessities. In today’s fast-paced world, Deborah’s philosophy serves as a beautiful reminder that we truly are what we eat—and how we eat matters just as much.

If you’re looking for inspiration, laughter, healthy food, and a fresh perspective on cooking, I highly recommend experiencing Deborah’s magic for yourself.

Basic 4-Minute Gluten-Free Chickpea Wrap

Ingredients (per wrap):

  • 2 heaped dessert spoons chickpea flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Approximately 2 tablespoons water
  • Coconut oil for frying

Method:
Mix all ingredients to create a thick pancake-like consistency. Heat coconut oil in a frying pan, pour in the mixture, and cook on both sides as you would a pancake. Ensure the pan is well coated to prevent sticking.

Fill with your favourite pâté, salad leaves, sprouts, and sauces such as hummus, tahini, curry, garlic, or onion flavours.

Tip: Conscious cooking is also about reducing waste—add leftover vegetables and creative fillings from your fridge.

Remember: Conscious cooking is fun cooking. Enjoy every moment!
