Review – Lou and Laurel, of Sacred Journeys

Lou and Laurel of Sacred Journeys are truly divine souls. They create a space where love, compassion, and authenticity flow naturally. They have an incredible gift for holding space without judgment or ego, allowing everyone to be seen, heard, and supported exactly as they are.

I recently attended the Spring Equinox Ladies’ Sweat, and it was an experience that touched me deeply. It wasn’t simply a ceremony—it was a journey of healing, connection, and self-discovery.

Before entering the sweat lodge, we gathered together in a sacred circle. Each woman was invited to share what was happening in her heart and mind—the fears, frustrations, challenges, hopes, and dreams she was carrying. There was no pressure, only acceptance and genuine listening. The openness and honesty in the room created an atmosphere of trust and love that was incredibly moving.

One of the greatest gifts of this sharing circle was the realisation that I am never alone. Listening to the stories of other women reminded me that we all carry struggles, yet we also carry incredible strength. There was such comfort in knowing that others understood and that we could support one another without trying to fix or judge.

The sweat lodge itself was a powerful experience of release and renewal. Surrounded by prayers, song, and sacred intention, I felt layers of stress, fear, and emotional heaviness begin to melt away. Emerging from the lodge felt like stepping into a new season—lighter, calmer, and more connected to myself.

Lou and Laurel guide these ceremonies with such wisdom, gentleness, and respect for the sacred traditions they honour. Their presence makes you feel completely safe to surrender to the experience and trust the process.

I left feeling grounded, peaceful, and deeply grateful. If you are looking for a genuine space to heal, reconnect with yourself, and experience the power of community, I cannot recommend Sacred Journeys highly enough. It is a beautiful reminder that healing happens when we come together with open hearts, and that we never have to walk our path alone.
