Flower of the Month – Bach Flower Remedies

SCLERANTHUS: Scleranthus Annuus – The Balance flower
From Inner Conflict to Inner Equilibrium

Those who suffer from being unable to decide between two things, first one seems right then the other. They are usually quiet people, and bear their difficulty alone, as they are not inclined to discuss it with anyone…….. Dr Edward Bach

Scleranthus relates to the Soul’s potential for balance and decisiveness. Those in the negative Scleranthus state vacillate between different possibilities. Any outside impulse is enough to spark a reaction, first in one direction, then in another. The negative Scleranthus type will always try to find their own solutions, however long it takes and in doing so go into a type of paralysis, unable to move forward.
This uncertainty means time is wasted and opportunities lost because of the inability to make a decision and act on it. There may be a tendency to be erratic, jumping from one topic to another in conversation, mood swings, or physical symptoms that move the body about.
By taking Scleranthus it allows one to take decisive action and to feel steadfast, balanced and centred. People in positive Scleranthus have a lightness that comes from inner strength and decisions are made with intuitive confidence. Their inner calm, decisiveness and straightforward approach has a calming effect on the people around them.
